Let’s take our minds off the state of the art Lamborghini Gallardo or Reventon and take a closer look at a classic masterpiece from Lamborghini: the Lamborghini 400GT. Introduced in 1966, the Lamborghini 400GT quickly became the favorite of those who are super rich or simply love the raw sense of speed and performance.
The exterior of Lamborghini 400GT is very similar to that of the 350GT, with several aerodynamic improvements added to the car. Lamborghini 400GT is beautiful nonetheless, featuring distinct headlights and front grill. The interior is no less beautiful, with leather seats and great technological features ready to make your rides enjoyable.
The secret behind Lamborghini 400GT’s amazing performance is of course the 3.929 cc V12 engine hidden under the hood. The engine is capable of producing a staggering 320 horsepower. Pair the powerful engine with lightweight aluminum body and strong chassis, and you have a supercar in hand for sure.
There are a total of 23 Lamborghini 400GT produced before the new Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 version was released. The newer version features a larger interior – and naturally a larger overall body size – that makes it possible for users to add two rear seats. Even with the increased size, the Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 is no less capable than the previous version.
The Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 was very popular indeed, and Lamborghini produced 247 cars in total during the period of 1966 to 1968. This car is considered one of the best classic cars of the era and is still favored by collectors.
